Anal
Toys
As
with all anal play, it is essential to use adequate lubrication when inserting
anything into the anus. Unlike the vagina, the anus is not naturally lubricated.
A thick, water-based or pure silicone lubricant is ideal. We offer a range of
anal lubricants
specifically formulated for anal play. Anal play can be enjoyed by both men and
women as the anus is the closest erogenous zone to our genitals and contains more
nerve endings than any other part of the body, excpet the clitoris. For men the
anus is the gateway to the prostate gland which is directly linked to the nerve
endings that trigger the male orgasm.
There
are a multitude of anal toys available on the market from anal beads to butt plugs.
Anal
beads have been used for hundreds of years to intensify your orgasm. Inserted
into the rectum prior to intercourse, these are pulled out at the point of orgasm.
The beads are attached to a string or cord and vary in size and quantity. Use
anal beads to introduce anal play into your lovemaking.
Anal
plugs or butt plugs are designed to be inserted into the anus and are left in
place during intercourse or masturbation. These vary greatly in size, shape, style
and colour and are available in vibrating or non vibrating varieties. If you are
looking for a vibrating butt plug, we recommend the I-Plug.
Some anal plugs can be inflated during anal play and then deflated afterwards
prior to removal. Normal vibrators can be used for anal play, but some will be
too large, especially for an anal novice. Use a thinner toy when starting out.
We recommend the anal
beginners kit. This kit is our top choice for a gentle introduction into anal
play and includes small, medium and large butt plugs, vibrator and anal lube.
All good plugs have a narrow neck and a flange base ensuring that the sphincter
muscle sits around the base and the plug will not be 'lost' inside the anus. When
introducing anal toys, it is best to start small as the anus and rectum are made
from very sensitive and fragile tissues which can tear easily. Inserting long,
straight and/or hard toys up there can be potentially very dangerous and should
be avoided.
Try
using a double penetrator if you enjoy simultaneous vaginal and anal stimulation.
Always
wash anal toys thoroughly after use. We recommend using a toy cleaner that provides
anti-bacterial protection and consider using an anal douche. Don't mix vaginal
and anal play as it is easy to transfer bacteria from one to the other. Stop immediately
if you experience any discomfort as the anus can be very sensitive. We recomend
using condoms during anal sex to avoid passing STDs. NEVER insert anything into
the vagina or mouth that has been used for any sort of anal play (including fingers,
the penis or sex toys). Start off with gentle massage on the area outside the
anus before any insertion or penetration is attempted. Remember that the rectum
is curved. Try different positions and angles to see which is the most comfortable
and pleasurable. Relax, go slowly, be gentle and start small.
